I looked this over, and measured my necklaces, which include pearls, as well as chains with pendants. Ladies — we need 13 – 14 inches of hanging space, in order for the pendants not to hit the holder, or other necklaces. This one just comes up short …. by about 2-inches. Also, they could have designed it so that there would be hooks on both the door *and* the side of the necklace compartments — then, it could possibly hold up to 24 necklaces, which would make it usable. It’s a shame — because I would have gotten one for me and one for a gift ….

I was a little hesitant to purchase this at the beginning, but glad I did. It’s worked out very well, and for me it has plenty of space when using the drawers and the necklace hooks. Granted, it holds shorter necklaces easier than longer ones, but for me it works perfect.
