  • I’ve just bought this album off the back of the information on this site (customers who bought this… and the reviews). I can’t believe the reviews below are in any way connected to the CD I’ve just listened to. It’s appalling; lightweight beats, insipid lyrics, over produced and ultimately boring. If you like Black Eyed Peas or M People you might like this, it’s the kind of music for people who don’t really like music. Put something on in the background and away you go.

If you’ve got any interest in music at all avoid this album, complete waste of time.

  • Took this one, having in mind how decent was “the listening” Little brother’s album and reading Amazon reviewers testimonies..

ABSOLUTELY overrated, overproduced, overgrounded POP/RNB sheet.

Clumsy beats, insipid lyrics, pityful emcees/feats..

At miles away from any ATCQ or any summertime-like true school…

Connect this one to your garbage…

  • It’s Thursday, 7 pm: in one hour your conservative co-workers will be arriving at your doorstep to meet you and your significant other for dinner and you are pulling out pubic hairs trying to decipher what CD will be the flawless soundtrack for the evening. You need something kind of neo-soulish, but not too abstract with a touch of contemporary jazz, spearheaded by a subtle hip-hop vibe. Here’s a suggestion: while you’re out picking up the White Zinfindale, and salad dressing, add Foreign Exchange’s CD, Connected to the grocery cart.

The vibrant duo of North Carolina vocalist Phonete and Netherlands producer Nicolay have released an array of melodic listenable too songs. There are no special topics here; just the usual love, hustling, happiness, and inspirational tales of life.

Nicolay’s synthesizer in Nic’s Groove makes you feel like dancing, the piano led Von Sees puts you in a New York state of mind, the jazzy chorus in Call is soothing and Be alright is a neo-soul/hip-hop collaboration at its best.

The downside is that majority of the lyrics are basic and there’s not one standout track. But again Connected’s strength is consistency as each track acts as a well-written line from sonnet, so while there’s no one song that your ears will lust for, their are12 that will nicely satisfy them
