  • This game is great for all ages, regardless of its childish look.. as are all the LEGO franchise games.

It also does a great service to Harry Potter fans, of both the books and films, via the spellcasting system and overall atmosphere. However, I have yet to see any way to jump online for Co-Op, as numerous websites claim, including Amazon.. Even the game’s website has stated this in a few trailers… yet it’s not there.

Perhaps a patch is coming? Who knows. Dissapointed in the lack of a promised feature, but overall good game.

  • I haven’t preordered X-box games in quite some time. I did for this one for the on-line version on x-box. They out and out lied about the product. You cannot connect live despite what they say on their box, their website, xbox website. I should have waited and got this game for 1/2 the price.

  • Lego HP is a little more difficult than Lego Indiana Jones but we still had of fun with it last week. Concept is the same as all the other Lego video games, collect gold, look for hidden items, unlockable characters, and build and smash. Instead of a whip, you’re equipped with a wand and will be able to toggle between different spells, and like all other Lego games, toggle between different characters. Overall, I recommend this to Lego and/or Harry Potter fans alike!!!

  • This is such a fun game. One of the things that I found very entertaining although frustrating at times is how easily I could just lose myself in the game and spend oodles of time playing. I love how the game follows the books/movies but it also has a fresh Lego twist, I think it would get pretty stale rather quickly if it didn’t. There are parts that make you utilize some brain power but because it is basically a game for all ages it isn’t too intense. I had been waiting over a year for this game to come out and I was not disappointed in the least.

  • Lego Harry Potter is the latest installment in the Lego series of games. This is easily the most in depth of any of the prior games. There’s so many things to do and a plethora of collectibles. While the Lego games aren’t known for their graphical prowess, HP does appear to have a graphical update.

If you’re familiar with past Lego games, you’ll be perfectly at home here. All the good aspects from prior games are here to include a level editor. The one thing I would like to mention is that this game isn’t quite as friendly to the extremely young audience. Some puzzles could be a little more complicated due to the use of different spells for certain situations. A minor issue, but one some parents may want to be aware of.

The co-op play allows each player to move off on their own and not be confined to sharing the screen. The game dynamically changes the screen so each player can move about of their own free will. Also, as of writing this review, online co-op isn’t active in the game. A patch is in the works and is supposed to be released soon.

Overall, this is a definite buy if you are either a fan of the Lego games or Harry Potter. Countless hours of fun and great replay value due to the level editor and the number of collectibles. Pick it up today!
