  This is a superb tool (much more that just a book!) for all levels of MS Access users. It is particularly valuable for those of us wishing to achieve Microsoft Certified Application Specialist for Microsoft Access.

  Does a great job in forming the new generation of office monkeys, capable of “clicking their way” to some very basics database operations while retaining perfect blissful ignorance about what’s going on. I like a “learn by doing” approach, but this is more like a “learn by clicking” approach that will leave you with no understanding of what you are doing. And even in this brainless approach, no mention is made on how to create a decent database and all that is said about relations fits in a skimpy page. Kind of sad how basic computer education is geared towards creating brainless keyboard monkeys instead of competent, creative professionals who can understand and enjoy their work and their tools. One cannot help but wonder why..

  I have had no training in Access during college. My career requires an in-depth knowledge of access. I needed a book that could take me from the very beginning to an advanced level and this book does that.

  The step by step books are very helpful to me. When I am learning about new software, I need step by step instructions. They are detailed to help me, but not so detailed that I get lost.
