  • I tend to agree with the first review but I should add 1 significant point. Stanleys lifetime warranty is a joke. Most brick and mortar locations that will actually replace a broken or malfunctioning Stanley tool can only replace the tool with what they have on hand, and it is very rare for anyone to have individual sockets by Stanley on hand and in stock. That means that if you bust a socket or break a wrench you have only 1 option: YOU HAVE TO MAIL THE TOOL TO STANLEY AND THEN THEY WILL MAIL A REPLACEMENT.

I guarantee that no one will have the patience to wait for the tool to be sent back in the mail. If a new individual socket, lets say a craftsman from Sears, can be picked up the same day that you bust one of the Stanley sockets, would you wait for the socket to be sent back to you in the mail? NO!!!! You have things to do. You and any other logical person is going to get what they need to get when they need it to finish the job that was started before the socket broke.

But, this set seems, I repeat, seems to have decent quality tools, and the black chrome is quite nice. It made it quite easy to tell my tools apart from the next guy down the line.

The sockets do tend to fall out of their holders any time the case is moved, though. I think that if you have access to something like thick packing foam or a couple of thick rags placed over the sockets before closing the case will most likely keep them from falling out, but I have not tested that idea.

  • I thought the 99 piece Stanley Black Chrome Socket set was a beautiful socket set. I did have a couple of sockets fall loose at times when I closed the top portion of the case but not all the time. I turned those particular 2 sockets upside down in their places and close the case slowly and now I don’t have any difficulty closing the case. Still a really nice socket and ratchet set with some included wrenches.

  • I bought this set because it had all the sockets and wrenches I needed in one case. Additionally, very few people have black socket sets and it makes it easy to identify my tools on the job site. The one major complaint I have is the sockets falling out of their places when you open the case. It’s not just one or two, but nearly half.

  • This set is very nice, and like everyone says the case is bad at keeping the tools in. To solve this problem I had some bubble wrap laying around, and I put it in the case which fixed that problem. Good tools none the less.

  • THE PRODUCT IS GREAT BUT THE CASE THAT HOLDS THE PRODUCT NEEDS ALOT OF WORK. IT DOES NOT HOLD SOCKETS & DIFFERNT PARTS THE WAY IT SHOULD.TO MUCH TROUBLE AND NOT WORTH IT
