  I listened to this once and then shelved it. Not what I expected- I think the other “Best of” is better (will letcha know!)

  As other reviewers have mentioned, it does not have some of the early hits they did. But, it does have all the classic later Animals tunes that came later. It also has the one cut that is their best tune ever…”Inside Looking Out”. I remember when this came out in the 60′s. It never recieved much airplay, but, it rocked me all the way through college. Great song !!

  Also, missing (besides We Gotta Get Out of This Place) is Mamma Told Me Not to Come. Yes, they recorded it first, I had the reel to reel tape in 1967!!!And, I am still looking for it!

  Ordered this album since it has the same cover photo as the original Animals’ “Best of” LP. In one way I am fortunate that it is not identical to the original as the CD contains “Baby Let Me Take You Home”- a good song that was not on the original. Unfortunately the CD failed in its primary mission. I wanted a digital (non-scratchy) version of “We Gotta Get Out of This Place”, but alas the CD provides just another remake heard so often on the “Oldies” radio stations. Eric never “Watched” his daddy in bed in the original. The word “See” was used instead. Perhaps the original doesn’t exist

  Even without “we’ve gotta get out of this place” missing, it still contains the signature sound that takes us back to younger times.
