  The opening chapter in the sample of this book was creative, hooked my attention and made me eager to read it.
  
  Unfortunately, the book went rapidly downhill from there.
  
  Multiple errors made it obvious that the author relied on the spell check software without a thorough proofreading.
  
  As a typical reader of hard sci-fi, I was very frustrated by the numerous errors in the science and physics. One glaring example was the use of ramjet engines on the fighters for a high speed mission across deep space. Err wait… Isn’t a ramjet and atmospheric engine? How would a ramjet function in the vacuum of space?
  
  Another glaring error was during the description of the re-pressurization of a landing deck on a space station. The author depicted oxygen being pumped into the deck while vents exhausted the vacuum of space… Err wait? Did the author just write that? Does the author understand the physical nature of vacuum and outer space? Apparently not.

  “The Storm Tigers” was an entertaining read. The plot is lean, fun and fast-paced, with plenty of action. I enjoyed the story and went through the book quickly.

  The Product Description detailing the book’s plot on Amazon is very accurate but this book is most definitely not hard science fiction. Do not expect the realities of hard science. It’s more of a lightweight space opera and a straightforward military adventure in space. If you like the idea of spaceborne fighters, dogfights in space, and slugfests between large spacecraft, it’s worth a read. (And to be honest, if you’re reading, or writing, a book about what are essentially aircraft carriers in space, you’re already sacrificing the realities and practicalities of hard science.)

  I did encounters some minor formatting issues with the Kindle edition and I also noticed a few typos. These issues were a minor distraction but nothing too serious.
