  • This book will provide any police officer recruit a great advantage prior to and during any academy training. Additionally, it is a great resource for academy instructors and field training officers.

  • Kinsey has a great amount of information to get you mentally prepared. Read it, keep it, then read it again. This definitley gives you a head start.

  • This book, the first one I’ve read in a long time, was extremely helpful on how to prepare for the academy. Everything from study tips, study groups, the steps or stages of the academy and what to expect, everything’s right there. Definitely “worth every cent”, as they say.

  • I had hoped that the book would give me a better sense of challenges/issues one is faced with in police academy, instead it consisted of pretty basic concepts of how to study and how to stay organized. The one area that was helpful was a discussion targeted to family members and friends of recruits explaining how difficult academy life is and how they will need to be suportive and patient with their loved one. I really don’t feel like I have any better sense of what to expect in police academy after having read the book.

  • Hi, I thought this was going to be a guide. But it is more a collection of quotes…some funny, some insightful, some inappropriate. Not worth the money
